A bitterly cold wind tested the supporters endurance. The match started poorly for Ashridge as they conceded a goal after 2 minutes to a simple through ball. We struggled to get into the game and Reeves had more chances to increase their lead.
We finally got going and Glyn’s free kick found Olly two yards out and he scored. 5 minutes later Olly returned the complement as his pass to Glyn on the edge of the area was fired home over the keeper. Another 5 minutes and it was 3-1 as Matt, Glyn and Joel combined to find Jordan in front of goal.
A fourth goal came when with the keeper out of his goal a fluffed clearance found Glyn 25 yards out and he calmly fired home. The last goal of the half came in the last minute as Glyn put Joel through on goal.
After that the second half was a complete let down. Reeves hardly created a chance and we completely forgot to pass the ball. We did manage a fifth when Sam put Olly in for his second.
At the end Neil went off too pawn the earrings he had collected and Simon went home to count his kidney stones!
