U18 Park 3 Basingstoke Colts 2

A very good match played on a very uneven pitch where ball control was difficult. (Its need a heavy roller going over it).
The team were seeking to extend their unbeaten run to 7 games against the League leaders who beat us 6-2 earlier in the season.
The side were cheered on by the 3 lone supporters who were not short of words of encouragement to both sides.
The game was very even in the first half, its was end to end but neither keeper was really troubled.
The first goal cam after 19 mins when Tommy, who has lost his radar recently, fired a 25 yard free kick over the keepers head and into the net.
Basingstoke equalised when after a scramble the ball was fired in off the bar.
Ashridge came back and regained the lead when Glyn;'s corner was headed in by Jamie.
A second equaliser came just before half time when a cross shot eluded keeper and defender and went into the corner.
The second half saw periods where Basingstoke dominated possesion as ahsridge sat back and di not retain possesion.

The winner came in the 89th minute when Ben was put away down the wing and he got near the byline to cross, the ball was missed by defender and attacker but Jamie ran in from nowhere to fire the ball home into the roof of the net.

A great result its now 6 wins and a draw in the last 7 matches. Well played Ashridge.
